snake texture

I chose this photo because it portrayed the amazing texture on this green snake. The photographer took this photo from above. The snake is placed in circular position and is coiled up like a hose. There is light hitting the back of the snake creating a shadow in the front. The lens is also focused on the center of the picture making it the first place your eyes meet. All of these things have a part in why this photo showed such great texture. Since the photo was taken from above, you are given a better view at the scales on the snake and you can almost touch them. Because the snake is coiled up like a hose, you are able to see more of the snake’s body whereas if the snake was stretched out, you’d only be able to see a small section of the snake. The light that is hitting the back of the snake allows you to see the little streaks of holographic blue that is around some of the green scales. And lastly, since the lens is focused on the center of the photo and the snakes head is in the center of the photo you’re eyes are almost being forced to see the texture on the snakes head.
